New Avengers shows darker side Long becomes the third most profitable film of all time

Fighters are back in action in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," but this time the evil face puts face to face with the grim consequences of being a superhero.

"Age of Ultron", sequel to the hit 2012 "The Avengers," Disney, shows the team of superheroes played by big stars -Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Widow black), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) - facing their own fears.

The writer-director Joss Whedon said he wanted to "make a small open-heart operation" in the Avengers, and "let the audience feel them in a much more personal way than before."

In "Age of Ultron" superheroes of Marvel worlds collide when the good guys have to deal with the villain Ultron complex (James Spader), a creation of artificial intelligence that turns into a megalomaniac.

With the help of Pietro twins (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), known as Mercury for his super speed, and Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), the Scarlet Witch endowed with magical powers that alter thoughts, Ultron makes the Avengers to turn against each other at times.

Robert Downey Jr., the patriarch of the franchise, said that given the "world stage" current, it's time to fall in the Avengers real.

"This is where you have to start dealing with the ramifications of truth to save the world," he said.

The tendêndia to explore the darker superhero has secured successes to other studios. The Superman of "Iron Man", 2013, Warner Bros., grossed over $ 660 million worldwide, and the trilogy "The Dark Knight" Batman, the same studio, grossed more than $ 2 billion worldwide between 2005 and 2012.

Elizabeth said, "Age of Ultron" allows the public to see the "more human versions" of the seemingly invincible Avengers. "It's sad, more emotional and more based on the characters as people, not as superheroes," he said.

"The Avengers" has become the third most profitable film of all time, and "Age of Ultron," which cost $ 250 million, is expected to reach, and possibly exceed, the $ 1.5 billion at the box office of his predecessor the entire planet.
The film, already in theaters in Brazil, for now grossed US $ 201.2 million in 44 countries, and US debut on Friday, 1st.
